travelnews Compiled and written by KATJA PANTZAR Service with an SMS FINNAIR'S range of recently introduced text message services includes an invaluable one that informs passengers if the departure of their flight will be delayed. "The SMS service is available for all Finnair passengers on all Finnair scheduled flights when the expected delay is more than 30 minutes, but less than three hours," says Marko Haaksiala, manager of passenger and baggage procedures. Messages will only be sent to those passengers who have provided their mobile phone number at the time of booking. Ninna Lindström A text notification system also lets passengers know if their baggage is not on the same Finnair scheduled flight as they are.
